Wimbledon is a locality in Tararua District, New Zealand. Towns and regional government The district's chief town is Dannevirke, settled by immigrants from Denmark in the 19th century New Zealand is an Island country in the south-western Pacific Ocean comprising two main landmasses (the North Island and the South Island It is located on the former SH 52 between Waipukurau and Masterton. Masterton is a town (and local government district in the Wellington region of New Zealand. It is 21 km from Weber, 9 km from Herbertville on the coast, and 11 km inland from Cape Turnagain. Weber is a Hamlet situated 28 km southeast of Dannevirke and 23 km WNW of Herbertville, on the east coast of New Zealand. Cape Turnagain is a prominent headland on the east coast of New Zealand 's North Island, part way between Hawke Bay and Cook Strait, between the The Waikopiro Stream runs into the Wainui River at Wimbledon. Wimbledon has a war memorial and once had a school,[3] but now consists of a few houses and a tavern. [4]
