Sialkot dry port has honor to be the first ever private sector dry port in Asia. A Dry Port is an inland intermodal terminal directly connected by Road or rail to a Seaport and operating as a centre for the Transshipment of It was established on May 16, 1984 near Sambrial, about 20 km from Sialkot city under control of Sialkot Dry Port Trust.
