In spite of his many sporting commitments, particularly as chairman of the successful London bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, he still finds time for the Charity. He has been the Patron from the beginning and during that time he has seen the Charity open four cancer care centres and the Live Well Experience.
