After taking a 2-1 series lead, they lost a pivotal game 4 when the Red Wings scored the tying goal with 33 seconds left and went on to win in overtime. In advance of the 2007-08 season, the Sharks updated their logos and jerseys to adjust to the new Rbk EDGE jersey. [5] The Sharks rode on a very hot streak in the month of March, going the entire month without a regulation loss, and captured their third division title gaining a franchise record 108 points, second in the league to the Detroit Red Wings.
