The President of the Legislative Council is the speaker of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. The term speaker is a title often given to the presiding officer of a legislative body The Legislative Council ( LegCo) is the Unicameral Legislature of Hong Kong. In the absence of the President, the chairman of the House Committee serves as deputy to the President.
