Pinus oocarpa (Pino Amarillo, pino avellano) or (Mexican yellow pine, hazelnut pine) is a tree native to the New World. Diederich von Schlechtendal ( 27 November 1794 - 12 October 1866) was a German Botanist born in Xanten. The New World is one of the names used for the non-Eurasian/non-African parts of the Earth specifically the Americas and Australia.
