Nolan Frizzelle (born October 16, 1921 in Los Angeles, California) is a former California State Assemblyman who served from 1980 until 1992. He was a member of the Newport-Mesa School District Board before becoming a member of the Assembly. He lost a special election primary to succeed new US Senator John Seymour in the State Senate in 1991. John F Seymour (born December 3, 1937 in Chicago) is an American Real estate investor and Politician. The California State Senate is the upper house of the California State Legislature. Frizzelle received 17. 8% of the vote. He was defeated by future Assembly Speaker Doris Allen in 1992, after they were redistricted into the same district. Doris J Allen (born 1936 in Kansas City Missouri – died September 22 1999[[Colorado Springs Colorado|Colorado Springs]] served in the California He also faced fellow Assemblyman Tom Mays in that primary. Allen received 41% of the vote, Mays received 39% of the vote while Frizzelle received just 20% of the vote. He is married to Ina and has six children: Roger, David, Diane, Robert, Sabina, and Timothy.
