The "new" Manchester Business School was formed in 2004 as a result of the merger of UMIST's Manchester School of Management, the Institute of Innovation Research (IoIR), the Victoria University of Manchester's School of Accounting and Finance, and the "old" Manchester Business School. Organisation

The school comes under the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Manchester. The University of Manchester is a " red brick " civic University located in Manchester, England.
