A Scientologist is defined here as a follower of Scientology. Scientology is a body of beliefs and related practices initially created by American Science fiction author L The following is a list of well-known past and present Scientologists.

Conventionally, the label applies to members of the Church of Scientology, and to members of the Free Zone, those who practice outside the Church. The Church of Scientology is the largest organization devoted to the practice and the promotion of the Scientology belief system. The Free Zone (or independent Scientologists or Scientology Freezone) comprises a variety of groups and individuals who practice Scientology -like beliefs

The words "Scientologist" and "Scientologists" are used by individuals to indicate that they practice the religion of Scientology, with or without the Church of Scientology's approval.
