The International Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It was first run in 1972 and was known until 1985 as the Benson & Hedges Gold Cup. Since 1989 the race has been sponsored by Juddmonte Farms, the breeding operation of Khalid Abdullah. Juddmonte Farms is a famous and award-winning Horse breeding farm owned by Prince Khalid Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Khalid Abdullah (born 1937 in Ta'if, Saudi Arabia) is a Prince in his homeland although he chooses to not go by his title in his numerous international The race is now commonly referred to as the Juddmonte International.
