FILE - Electronic Language International Festival is a new media art festival held yearly in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2000 and with iterations being held eventually in other cities through the world. New media is a term meant to encompass the emergence of Digital, Computerized or Networked information and communication technologies It is the biggest art & technology festival in Brazil, and it serves as a lead indicator of the plurality of the work created in the interactive art field not only nationally but also internationally.

FILE is organized by a non-profit group whose purpose is to disseminate and to develop culture, arts, technology and scientific research. Culture (from the Latin cultura stemming from colere, meaning "to cultivate" generally refers to patterns of human activity and the symbolic The arts is a broad subdivision of Culture, composed of many expressive disciplines.
