Carmen is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. A municipality ( bayan, sometimes munisipyo in Cebuano or used infrequently in Tagalog) is a local government unit in the Philippines The provinces of the Philippines are the primary administrative divisions of the Philippines. Cebu is one of the Provinces of the Philippines. It lies to the east of Negros Island; to the west of Leyte and to the southeast is Bohol The Philippines ( Filipino: Pilipinas, officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (fil ''Republika ng Pilipinas'' RP According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 41,279 people. Year 2007 ( MMVII) was a Common year starting on Monday of the Gregorian calendar in the 21st century.
