The city is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Caacupé. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Caacupé { Latin: Caacupen(sis } is a Diocese located in the city of Caacupé in the Ecclesiastical province Caacupé is best known for its major religious festival, held annually on 8 December in honour of the statuette of Our Lady of the Miracles.
