Bill Barisoff is a BC Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. He is currently the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, a job he was elected to by vote of the Legislature in 2005. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia is the presiding officer of the British Columbia legislature.
Previously, he served as Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection (2004-2005) as well as Minister of Provincial Revenue (2001-2004). He was a local School Trustee and owned a trucking company prior to his involvement in provincial politics. [1]
