Bihar Movement was a movement initiated by students in the Indian state of Bihar in 1974 and led by the veteran Gandhian Socialist Jayaprakash Narayan against misrule of and corruption in then government . Bihar ( Hindi:बिहार Urdu: بہار bɪhaːr) is a state in eastern India. Jayaprakash Narayan ( Devanāgarī: जयप्रकाश नारायण October 11, 1902 - October 8, 1979) widely known By 1975 it had attracted a mass following amongst all sections of the population in Bihar and in some other states. It is also called "total revolution".
