Fairly good reserves of barytes fluorit, wolastonite and vermiculite have also been found. Beawar is well known and famous for the sweet "tilpatti". It was first discovered in beawar in the year 1938by shri RAMDHAN JI. Their Well known shop for this sweet is "ramdhan & sons". The best time to get this sweet is from October to march because it's a sweet of winter season. Air transport facility is not available in the city. The nearest airport is Jaipur at a distance of 190 km.

Beawar was founded by Colonel Dixon in 1835.
