The Alaska Folk Festival is an annual celebration of folk music from Alaska, the Northwestern United States, and Canada, held in Juneau, Alaska. It features performances from a wide variety of solo artists and musical groups, and it provides workshops for people interested in the music. A workshop is a room or Building which provides both the area and Tools (or machinery) that may be required for the manufacture or repair There are dances and other events also. It is free to the public and supported solely by volunteers and donations. There are no auditions for the acts, anyone can apply. Each act is 15 minutes long. There 9 concerts over 7 days with about 15 acts in each concert.
