All FM is a local community radio station serving south and east Manchester and based in the South Manchester suburb of Levenshulme. All FM began as the Radio regen project with a three day broadcast under the title Radio Longsight. Radio Regen is a charity based in Manchester, UK that provides training in Community radio. After the success of Radio Longsight, ALL FM was created, covering the Longsight area and the neighbouring areas of Ardwick and Levenshulme (hence the acronym ALL). Longsight is an area of the City of Manchester, in North West England. Ardwick is a district of the City of Manchester, in North West England. Levenshulme is an Urban area of the City of Manchester, in North West England. Two RSL's were obtained making ALL FM receivable temporarily. The Returned and Services League of Australia (often abbreviated to RSL) is a support organisation for men and women who have served or are serving in the Australian In 2002 All FM became part of the Government's 'Access Radio' pilot scheme. ALL FM became an independent organisation and was granted a permanent licence in 2005. ^[1]

Catering to an area described by the founders as "one of the most multicultural outside of London",^[1] a wide variety of programming includes The Full Irish, Big T Caribbean Culture and Akram Hour. Multilingual programmes in French, Polish, Portuguese and Hindi are also broadcast.

ALL FM's sister station WFM 97.2 broadcasts to the Wythenshawe area of Manchester a few miles south of the ALL FM target area. Wythenshawe FM 972 also known as WFM is a community radio station broadcasting primarily to Wythenshawe, Manchester and the surrounding South Manchester Wythenshawe (pop 66000 is a district in the south of the City of Manchester in North West England.
